Is my Wacom Graphire4 CTE-640 graphics tablet in need of a new pen? - cte new mosuito

I have a Wacom cte 640, I had a number of years. I had not used in one or two months, and when I returned in the same act that has begun to do otherwise.

Seems to have lost calibration, as the pen touches the tablet, even if it is an inch difference between the two acts.

Should I replace the pin, and if so, how can I prevent this from happening again?
